S'sE began in 2013 at the behest of Trevor DePagie and Chris
Samson.
Session after session, hundreds of hours of rehearsals, jams, improvs & creations, the souls of those who would not be decimated by the light, we stand as 3. Hitoshi Sugiyama joined our ranks and we found ourselves whole.
S'sE SESSIONS is a musical trio that hovers on it's experimental roots and branches out into the ambient, beats and rhythms, analogue & electric, and into a score laden sky.
SESSIONS implies collaborations with outside artists in one off or return performances and/or recordings. The implication is one that keeps the creative gates open for growth and exploration through genres and artistic concepts.

Born and raised in Ajax, Ontario, Canada, Samson gravitated towards music at a young age starting with his love for many classic rock, and 90's alternative bands, and picking up a guitar to be his first instrument to learn. Over his teens and into his young adulthood he tried to jam with people whenever possible although it was always hard to find a place to freely be loud for extended periods of time. Through these years he befriended many people who played gigs in the local scene and attended many shows to show his support. He also went to every concert he could with friends making the trip to Toronto countless times to see countless varieties of bands, and artists. As he grew out of his teens he became only more in love with a vast variety of music from Rock, alternative to hiphop, industrial, to even electronic and going to many raves in downtown Toronto. His love for music only continues to grow and has mixed with his love for computers, and all things technology. Which has brought him into the world of music production, sound experimentation and design. A day doesn't go by where he isn't planning his next creative project or trying to figure out ways to spend more of his time in his studio in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
